About Us

The B and B is run by Jo and Andy and it is very much a home from home, being used by family as well as guests. As you would expect it is comfortably furnished, in a country cottage style, but with an up to date kitchen. We hope our guests will feel relaxed and comfortable whilst on their holiday. We are able  to transport you to/from Yarmouth should you be arriving by yacht or as a foot passenger.

Read's Cottage, Wellow, Yarmouth, Isle of Wight

The cottage is named after Rev. William Read, a Baptist minister in the early 1800's, who reputedly enjoyed preaching outdoors in the countryside and fields.

Wellow is a small hamlet 3 miles from Yarmouth and only 15 minutes from Cowes. We are surrounded by areas of outstanding natural beauty, with many paths and bridleways nearby. The nearest beaches are at Yarmouth and Brook/Compton. We are within 5 minutes of two reputable dining pubs.

Newtown Creek is just 2 miles down the lanes and we can collect or drop off yachtsmen/ladies from Shalfleet Quay or Yarmouth marina on request.

There's so much to do...
